Timo Räisänen, born 25 July 1979 in Gothenburg, Sweden, is a Swedish rock and indie-pop musician, singer, and songwriter. Known both for his solo work and his contributions as part of Håkan Hellström’s band and rock group Her Majesty, Räisänen launched his solo career in 2004 with the album Lovers Are Lonely and has since become one of Sweden’s most lauded live performers and recording artists.

Räisänen was born and raised in Göteborg (Gothenburg), where he grew up in a multilingual, multicultural family: his mother was born in India to an Anglo-Indian mother and a Swedish father, and his Finnish father was raised in Brazil.

After gaining early recognition as guitarist and backing vocalist in Hellström’s band, Räisänen’s solo work earned him multiple awards, including Swedish radio’s prestigious P3 Guld for Best Male Artist (2007) and Best Live Artist (2008).

Over the years he has continued to evolve his sound, releasing several albums and touring extensively throughout Sweden and beyond. His musical range includes thoughtful singer-songwriter pieces, rock anthems, and imaginative interpretations of other artists’ works.
