Doug Chapman
Douglas 'Doug' Chapman is a Canadian stunt coordinator, stunt performer, actor, and director. He's also a member of Stunts Canada .
He began both his acting and stunt work career in 1996 with the film Street Gun (1996). Since then, he worked continuously throughout film and television series, including Smallville (2001), Fantastic Four (2005) and Stargate: Atlantis (2004).
He has been a stunt double for Kurt Russell, Dermot Mulroney, Jason Statham, Ryan Phillippe, Robert Englund, and Christian Slater. He has also performed stunts for many commercials, including precision driving for commercials for Honda and Chrysler. Notable acting roles include Sergeant Cole in Stargate Atlantis and Roy Chess in Watchmen.
He has been involved with movies such as Freddy vs. Jason (2003), X2: X-Men United (2003), 300 (2006) and Watchmen (2009) among a countless heap of credits. In the film Watchmen, he performed the first ever bare-skin burn stunt performance in a feature film.
He was nominated for a Taurus World Stunt Award for Best Fire Stunt in 2004 for stunts performed in the film Freddy vs. Jason (2003), in which he doubled for actor Robert Englund, and performed a full body burn and wire stunt.
In addition to acting and stunt performing, Douglas has worked as a second unit director and stunt coordinator.
