Asel Sagatova is a Kazakhstani actress and model. She was born on May 5, 1985, in Semipalatinsk.
In her childhood, she lived in Almaty. Her parents noticed her artistic abilities and sent her to a Russian school with a focus on choreography. Despite her dance training, Asel became interested in mathematics and excelled in her studies.
At the age of 14, she received an invitation from a modeling agency and started working in advertising. She also participated in beauty contests. While still a student, Sagatova became one of the most sought-after models.
She graduated from the Faculty of International Relations at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and later completed her master's degree with honors. She worked as a presenter on Kazakhstani television, hosting programs such as "Zolotaya Podkova" ("Golden Horseshoe"), "Narodnaya Lotereya" ("People's Lottery"), and others.
She made her film debut in 2004 in the movie "The Mother's Lament for the Mankurt". She also played leading roles in films such as "Irony of Love", "Racketeer", "Districts", and others.
To further develop her acting skills, she attended acting courses in Los Angeles.
